Coastal Pursuits must have the largest solely owned motor boat fleet in the Solent. As we own all our boats we have much more flexibility and do have to check if the owner is using the boast you day you want. You won`t find we cancel your event becuase an owner suddenly wants to use their boat, this happens alot with other private owner charters. Local knowledge and experience are the key attributes to a good charter skipper. Our skippers have run charters in the Solent since the start of our company back in 2005, so just over 20 years of expereince. We always help plan your day with possible destinations including the Needles Lighthouse, Lymington, Yarmouth, Cowes, Hamble and the Beauleiu River.
Your skipper will helm the boat from the flybridge for most of the day meaning a crew is required for client safety and support. Also needed to help the skipper runing the boat.
We leave onboard supplies to you. However, there will always be tea, coffee and soft drinks included in your charter fee ( not on rib powerboats ). Do bring along snacks or a buffet lunch. Alcohol can be consumed in moderation on our motorboat but not on sailing yachts or rib powerboats.
Motorboating is in general a fair weather activity. We run our motor boat fleet from May to September which reduces the chance of weather cancellation. We do still offer a 100% refund if bad weather is forecast. It`s our decision but we always want happy and safe clients so always err on the side of caution.
Motor boat charters require a £200 deposit at the point of booking paid via a Paypal link emailed directly to you. The balance to be paid again via a secure emailed link 14 days before the boat charter.
